WHAT IS THE DISCOVERY PROGRAM?
The Discovery program is an inclusive community engagement initiative offered by Flato Markham Theatre that provides interactive arts programming and outreach. This program is made possible with the generous support of the Flato Markham Theatre’s Annual Discovery Gala, The City of Markham, and corporate sponsors and funding grants.

Every Child Every Year
Creating accessible arts education with Free School Matinee performances offered to Markham schools for Grades 1-8.
Youth Performing Arts Programs and Camps
Offering specialized performing arts programming and camps for youth ages 4-16.
Community Outreach
Engaging and inclusive live arts initiatives in our community including:
- Masterclasses & workshops for youth and adults
- Ontario Dances program
- Artist residencies
- Forums and lectures
- Partnerships with community festivals & events
